Drapes & Giveaway

I bit the bullet. We ordered custom drapes for Oscar's nursery! I needed to show you a sneak peek of one side of the room with them (The other side has the day bed, that is still being worked on) Be sure to read to the bottom for a Giveaway!

Aren't they gorgeous? I got a serious case of jealousy when I saw Jens drapes over here and she explained how well priced they were.

Ordered from Tonic Living, who sells fabric and offers sewing services as well. I had ordered samples from Tonic Living before (see here) but they had fallen off my radar. And, back then I hadn't seen examples of their sewing work before, so to see Jens drapes look so gorgeous secured the deal.

I ordered them for a few reasons. I'm a bit of a nut when it comes to liking clean lines. I like pinch pleated drapes because it's evenly spaced pleats and it always looks nice, no matter how you pull them. Which is why I have them in our living room, and now, Oscar's Room. Also, I also really wanted black outs after having some bad days trying to get him to nap. Although I could have gone with a funkier colour for the room, white always works well and in future houses would equally work well in different room settings - so I'm getting more bang for my buck. ;)

I worked with Tonic Living on the drapes and holy moly they were awesome. They worked with me to figure out what fabric I should use, helped me by sending me inspirational pictures. So, the drapes are up, I adore them, and we're checking little final details off the room. Hands down, recommend this company to sew your drapes. LOVE THEM.
